Abdomen
Abdominal plasty (abdominoplasty) is designed to remove excess of skin and fat from the abdominal region, thereby restoring a well-proportioned figure. The surpluses may be due to pregnancies, weight changes or hormonal modification.
In cases where damage to the abdominal wall has occurred (multiple pregnancies), a re-tightening of abdominal muscles will be performed during the same intervention.
Depending on the case, the scar will be either horizontal (concealed by the underwear) or more rarely T-shaped.
A 4 to 6 weeks’ interruption in sporting activities is recommended.

Dr. Dudrap's expertise
Dr Dudrap uses an abdominoplasty technique with initial liposuction to slim down the zone while preserving the deeper lymphatic drainage. This will improve healing and lessen the risk of post-operative seromas (serous effusion).
The horizontal scar will be located beneath the underwear and so be invisible when wearing a bathing suit. If an earlier scar is present (ceasarian section, surgery, trauma,…), it will, whenever possible, be removed in the course of the operation.
