Asymmetrical and tuberous breasts

Mammary asymmetry relates either to shape or to volume, or to both at the same time. Surgical treatment will be applied to the most pronounced or handicapping forms.

Tuberous breasts are caused by an anomaly in the development of the organ’s base, leading to very unattractive, tube-shaped breasts with enlarged areolas. Their often considerable psychological implications will be analysed during prior consultation.

Following photographic investigation and deliberation about the desired size and shape, the different mammaplasty techniques (implant, breast remodelling,…) will be associated for maximum correction of asymmetry or tuberous disproportion.

Let us however remember that perfect symmetry does not exist in the human body!

Dr. Dudrap's expertise

The treatement  of breast asymmetry or tuberous breasts must be reliable to ensure good healing and a marked aesthetic benefit.

Priority will always be given to the preservation of existing breast tissue and to its redistribution, avoiding whenever possible to put a silicone gel breast implant.

The contribution of lipostructure (a micro-graft of fat cells) has significantly improved the treatment of such malformations and will be suggested whenever possible.
