Breast Lipostructure
Breast lipostructure makes breast augmentation possible by using the patient’s own fat taken from various body areas. This natural technique allows increased volume and enhanced beauty without visible scars and without implant or foreign body.
Lipostructure or micro-fat grafting (lipofilling) brings natural content (fat) to the breast to increase volume and improve shape. There is added benefit from liposuction to the body zones where fat is taken (hips, knees, thighs, back) through simultaneous improvement of body contours.
This highly natural technique therefore uses the patient’s own fat to increase breast size (a bra size on average) and improve breast shape.
The operation is performed in three stages :
- suction of fat through foam micro-cannulas;
- centrifugation to separate the phases and retain living fat cells only;
- injection through specific micro-cannulas for the micro-graft.
The volume achieved, once swelling has disappeared, will be long-lasting (several years) and the transplanted fat cells will follow the patient’s changes in weight, like native fat.
The same procedure is applied for the breast or any other part of the body in need of added volume. A small proportion of the fat (5 to 10%) may be resorbed over the following months or years, but a subsequent session is usually possible.

Dr. Dudrap's expertise
Lipostructure is a micro-graft of fat cells. For optimal results, adipocyte survival will be improved by small-calibre aspiration equipment, moderate centrifugation and injection through non-traumatic micro-cannulas.
The resulting breast augmentation is natural, without implant or visible scars. Mammographic surveillance is recommended, as conducted by the radiologists, familiar with the breast lipostructure technique, who collaborate with Dr Dudrap in Clinique de Genolier.
